The marketing of counterfeit products increases by about 60% in Seaside during the season, according to the Brazilian Association for Combating Counterfeiting (ABCF). The main items are pirated blockers sun, cigarettes, condoms, hygiene products and beauty in addition to fuel.
The director of ABCF, Rodolpho Heck Ramazzini, alert the consumer who buys fake products should be aware that help finance organized crime, contributes to other jobs that are not generated and helps in the reduction of public investment - because of tax no longer being collected - and still puts his own health at risk.

According to Ramazzini, most counterfeit products that reach the coast are smuggled from Paraguay and 90% of gangs are also involved in drug trafficking and arms. "The piracy encourages and supports an entire criminal network. Consumers should know that not only is funding smuggling, "he says.

With the global economic crisis, according to the director of ABCF, there was an increase in the number of informal jobs and the piracy. However, Ramazzini notes that this is a process in jail. Therefore, the more pirated products exist and are purchased, the lower the generation of jobs and the greater the number of layoffs.

The data give the ABCF account that R $ 350 million in VAT will no longer be collected per year in Paraná only to counterfeiting of cigarettes and fuel. "This money could be reversed to improve infrastructure in the state," said Ramazzini.


Risks to health

Consumers who purchase pirated products is also putting their health at risk. Medicines, toiletries and beauty forged can cause injuries and illnesses. Surveillance
The supervision of the Office of Weights and Measures of Paraná (IPEM / PR) seized 96 toy of 11,907 assessed, 3,357 products and textiles, 102,699 review, which showed irregularities in Seaside.
